O'levelFive (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Literature-in-English and any other three (3) Arts/Social Science subjects.

Civil Law

UTME (four subjects)Use of English, plus: Any three (3) Arts or Social Science subjects.
O'levelFive (5) 'O' Level credit passes to include English Language, Literature in English and Mathematics.

JAMB's brochure lists Law under two headings with different universities. Common Law asks for Literature in English in the UTME; Civil Law lists any three Arts or Social Science subjects, but asks for Literature in English at O'level. Taking Literature in English in the UTME keeps both open.
